The origin of SportKreativWerkstatt dates back to summer 2000, and was stimulated by a unique mix of inspiration and transpiration, of disposition and motivation.

The then vice president of the Technische Universität München requested us to conceive an institution that intermediates between the university and the “outside world”, and that is institutionalized in this void as well.

This core idea has been carried on until today: SportKreativWerkstatt has become an institution that intermediates between well-founded science and relevant practice, and that not only investigates but generates innovations – by transcending borders between disciplines or institutions.
